Ice Cold Win Hecklers at Work

He was working with passion. Focus on work brings him joy and satisfaction. He is a dedicated and good man. He is admired by each customer because he is what he is “star”. One of his colleagues feels jealous of him. He knows he can’t be like him. He begins to distract him and show him that he is superior. Raise his voice when he got a chance. He thinks he can outshine the “star” with hidden evil behaviour. Star heard from his coach “I have been there. His nasty behaviour is trying to provoke you, so you damage your image in front of everyone. Keep your mind focused on your goals. Confront him nonverbally once and Ignore him Completely. Remain Ice old, No verbal reaction. Only Important short replies regarding work.” “Star” did so. He successfully wins the situation. He gains his focus back. He said, “I will keep this in my arsenal to win such situations in the future”. When he needs more, Star can reach out to his coach for further support.

Work Boundaries Protect Family and Relationship

Looking forward to going home after each workday is wonderful to have. Perfect family life, good children who respect you. Peace in the relationship and a tasty dinner. It’s not always a sunny day. There are times when you want to stay away from the same person or people to figure out why they behave in a way that shatters you & you go out to gather yourself in peace. When share your work problems at home you think that your family members are your sounding board. You create the illusion for yourself. They are there for you but not as a sounding board to listen to your daily work problems. You are their role model, not a problem model. Consequences of “sharing work problems at home” come back not on the same day but later when you least accepted. Lowering your value by yourself has a devastating effect on family life and on important relationships. Set boundaries not to share your personal work problems with your family and with the important person in your life. Share Your...

One Line Statement Disciplined Me

Completing a goal brings joy and satisfaction. To see your goal manifested in life is wonderful. There is happiness all around you and inside you and life appears to be showered its kindness. But it’s not always the case, I remember when I drift from my goal for a long time to a different unimportant task. Or when family issues arise. Sometimes outsiders or hecklers try to distract us from our goal. Being vigilant in those times helps the most. Reminding yourself about your goal is I found the best way to get myself on track. One statement that put me back on track is “This is my goal and I am responsible for completing this, no one else is going to do it for me.”. When repeating it over and over it gives amazing results to put back on track. You can try out how this works for you. If need to you can use it in some variation of it. After you apply, tell me how this has helped you in discipline. Till next time, Gurnam Sangha.

Regular Breaks Increase Productivity By an Extra Twenty-Five Percent

I was sitting in my office and working on my present goal. I worked hard to meet my deadline and wanted to complete the task without straining myself physically and mentally. I was so indulged in my work that I forgot to take care of myself and ignore my body pain, my fingers and arms were hurting. My arms were swollen, my eyes were dried up, my brain could not think more and I heard a voice from within shout at me “Stop”. So, I did and ended up in rest for a week. While resting, I begin to trace back my successful days at work. I used to work in the chunk of 45 minutes at a time and then break for 10 minutes. Regular breaks help me to restore my energy and give relief to my eyes, and rest to my arms. Most importantly my brain got relief from constant focus. By repeating it I was able to complete my task easily on time and with more precision. I realized; that it is good to learn from our past success. By repeating our successful habits, we can create more success. I wonder wha...

How To Become More Organised

Either it is your personal life or business life, staying organised is one of the most crucial skill that each one of us need, especially when it comes to getting to our goals faster. If you fail to stay organise on daily basis then you will experience that you will be overwhelmed and you will not be able to accomplish by the end of the day. side effect is that it may make you look lot busier but won’t help you get anything done on time, instead you will face pile of unfinished tasks on day-to-day basis. And On the other hand, if you manage to stay organise and make it your long-term habit then you will experience that everything that you do will happen like a clock work. by clockwork I mean, everything you do will happen by time and on the time, and as a result you will be  highly productive  and organised. It is easier to say that “stay organised” but we all know how hard it is especially when things get over whelm, when so many tasks need to be done and you don’t have...
